1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Capy (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the App. Simple as that.
2. About Capy
Capy is an AI-powered food journaling app that helps you track calories and macros by describing meals in natural language. We provide estimates, not medical advice. Always consult a healthcare professional for dietary decisions.
3. Account registration
To use Capy, you'll need to create an account. You must:
- •Be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction)
- •Provide accurate and complete information
- •Keep your login credentials secure
- •Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
4. Subscriptions & payments
Capy offers both free and paid subscription plans:
- •Free trial: New users get 1 full day of all features without providing payment info
- •Paid plans: Monthly and yearly subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
- •Cancellation: Cancel anytime through your Apple ID subscription settings
- •No refunds: Partial refunds are at Apple's discretion per App Store policies
5. Acceptable use
Please use Capy responsibly. Don't:
- ✕Use the app for any illegal purpose
- ✕Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the app
- ✕Upload harmful content, viruses, or malware
- ✕Harass other users or our team
- ✕Scrape or bulk download data without permission
6. Intellectual property
Capy, the capybara mascot, and all associated branding are our property. You receive a limited, non-exclusive license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. Don't copy, modify, or redistribute our code or assets without permission.
7. Disclaimers
Capy is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind:
- •Calorie estimates are AI-generated approximations, not exact measurements
- •We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
- •We're not responsible for health decisions you make based on our data
- •Syncing with Apple Health depends on Apple's systems
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Capy and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of San Francisco County.
